About me

Envelop Family Psychology is a space for parents, carers and anyone that has responsibility for children and young people. Using psychology, family therapy and decades of experience I can support you as you navigate the challenges that growing up can bring.

Modern parents face unique challenges, such as balancing work and family life, school and academic pressures, navigating screen time, technology, and social media’s influence, and dealing with the constant influx of information. Envelop specialises in supporting parents and carers to navigate a myriad of challenges that children, young people, and consequently the whole family, face. I can hold space for you to explore areas such as, but not restricted to:

  • mental health and wellbeing
  • neurodiversity
  • emotionally based school non-attendance (EBSNA)
  • the impact of social injustice due to gender, race, religion, ability, sexuality etc
  • identity and belonging
  • baby - teen brain development
  • post adoption
  • pre and post diagnosis
  • loss, change and bereavement

I can also hold space for professionals working in educational settings on an individual, small group, or whole school basis.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
