About me
Our counselling sessions are an opportunity to explore something together that may have been building up for you over time or that has led to you feeling confused or anxious. Or perhaps you don’t know what it is, but things just haven’t been sitting right for you.
My clients tell me how much they appreciate feeling accepted and not judged, allowing them to begin to talk about and share things more openly. The chance to describe what’s really going on for you can often come as a relief.
For many, coming to counselling is part of a process of stepping into their own potential, in their own way, and a move towards feeling calmer and more content.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a first-class degree in Person-Centred Counselling from Metanoia Institute in London.
Before becoming a therapist, I taught English as a foreign language and then worked as a professional actor for many years. I have also studied art and so am open to working creatively. I qualified as a Therapeutic Wellbeing Practitioner at IATE in 2016 and went on to work in schools and deliver programmes for families in a charity supporting survivors of domestic abuse.
I work with adults and, having completed a one-year placement with a counselling and psychotherapy service in West London, I currently volunteer as a therapist with a national online psychotherapy network and work in-person with a mental health charity based in North London.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
When you feel ready to get in touch, you can email, phone, or text me. We can then arrange to have a chat and decide whether to have a session together. The sessions can be in person, online, or by phone. Ideally, we would then meet on a weekly basis and review things together as we go along.
My in-room sessions currently take place a few minutes' walk from Tufnell Park tube station.
Regrettably, there is no wheelchair access to the practice though I do availability for online sessions. Please feel free to discuss any in-room needs you may require .
