About me
Hello! I'm a BACP registered Integrative Child & Adolescent Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, working with children & young people aged 4 to 18. Additionally, I am a therapeutic parenting practitioner with over 16 years of experience supporting children & families, including those with neurodiversity & school-related anxiety. I work with adopted, SGO & birth families. My approach involves helping children & young people express strong & difficult feelings in a safe, supported manner. I utilise various artistic mediums such as clay, paint, puppets, sand tray, stories, poetry & music to help clients make sense of their experiences.
I firmly believe that families can discover their own solutions given time to think and talk in a safe and containing space. I collaborate with parents and carers who may be feeling frustrated, worried & stuck in unhelpful habits who are finding relationships challenging. I am particularly skilled at helping with aggressive child & teen behaviour.
My parenting work is based on Theraplay principles & Dyadic Developmental Practice principles. I offer Video Interaction Guidance (VIG) as part of my broader parenting practice. I am a Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) practitioner, assisting parents & carers dealing with child-to-parent violence & aggression, addressing safety concerns within the home.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I am available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the Teddington Wellbeing Centre. I can also see individual children at their school by arrangement. I offer training and consultancy to schools around attachment, developmental trauma and helping children thrive in school. Lots of my parenting work is over Zoom as it's often hard to sort out childcare, parent schedules etc and this is one less thing for you to worry about!
Sessions are 50 minutes long and take place at the same time and day each week. I follow the school calendar and sessions are usually booked in half-term blocks.
