Lynda Kynes DipHE Counselling, CertHE Counselling, MBACP Accred.
Making the decision to come for counselling may seem like a difficult decision, a last resort, you may feel nervous, concerned, negative, weak. I believe it is one of the best decisions you could make, to take time to work on you and your well being! I do not believe you will regret taking that step and coming for counselling, it will be a good decision for you, a non judgemental space where you can explore with support and empathy. Stress, feeling low, worrying, not feeling good about ourselves, not feeling happy, is not good for our physical or mental well being.
I am an experienced counsellor & psychotherapist, having worked with anxiety, depression, low self esteem, grief or loss, family related problems, work, abuse, bullying, PTSD.
I work with an integrative approach based on your needs. I offer a neutral and supported space were you are free to explore problems, this offers opportunities to feel differently, make necessary changes or life choices. Reducing stress and learning coping skills to increase resilience, which is good for your mind and body. I use standard vocational assessment tools, these show my clients gain marked improvement within 6 weeks of commencement of therapy.
I also off EMDR Therapy, an evidence based therapy where research conducted demonstrates its benefits in treating psychological trauma, abuse, neglect, accidents, assault, & PTSD. EMDR is also increasingly used to help with issues of performance, anxiety or depression. I work with clients both long and short term according to the clients needs with ongoing mutual assessment.
I also offer Clinical Supervision, with many years post qualification counselling experience and a Certificate in Clinical Supervision along with business and personnel management and have availability at present.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
