Lyanne Pudney, Anxiety & Phobia Therapist
Hello, I'm Lyanne.
If you'd like some help with Anxiety or a Phobia, I am working online at the moment & offer a free 30 min consultation so we can discuss your needs & how we might work together. I am unable to take on new clients until 6th September, so please contact me after this date if you'd like to discuss working together, thank you.
I offer short (6-12 weeks) & medium term therapy to teach you the techniques & skills required to reduce anxiety, resolve phobias, stop panic attacks and manage anxiety disorders.
Some clients only need 6 sessions, for example to reduce anxiety & stop panic attacks, while others prefer to stay longer & work on the underlying issues once their level of anxiety has reduced. In all cases, if you are feeling extremely anxious we will start with bringing that down, so you can feel more in control of it before trying to do any deeper work.
Talking things through can help lift the weight a little and then together, we'll decide on the best way to move forwards.
For those who know a bit about therapy already: I am Integratively trained with a Humanistic view. I often use psychodynamic approaches (exploratory not analytical) and draw from many psychotherapy techniques as appropriate.
In plain English this means I believe that people are capable of figuring out what is troubling them but need support when they get stuck or become overwhelmed (and so seek therapy). I don't give advice but once we've explored the root of the problem I might use or teach you some techniques or work in a way to help you deal with and move past something that is causing you pain.
I'm also a qualified Hypnotherapist so am happy to add this into your sessions to help you relax or explore issues at a deep level. Please ask me about this if it's something you're interested in.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
