About me

I work in a person-centred way to help my clients process their thoughts and feelings in a safe and inclusive space, working to develop resilience and ways of coping more effectively with life’s difficulties. My approach is about providing a supportive relationship built on trust and emotional safety that enables more open, deeper communication than is generally possible in everyday life. I hold space for clients to work through complicated thoughts and feelings related to such things as confusion, anxiety, depression, fear, loss, grief, anger and overwhelm, and to help process the impact of past trauma, relationships, low self-esteem, or significant life challenges.

My job is to listen in a way that is focused on all the nuances of what you bring, to reflect back the feelings and complexities that arise, to ask insightful questions, and to help you to explore unconscious motives and patterns of thoughts and behaviour that may be holding you back. We can also explore practical tools such as mindfulness, cognitive reframing and stress management, all of which can help you to build resilience and gain a sense of greater control in the midst of intense life challenges.

I also offer counselling as a pathway to personal growth, giving the space to process pain, shine the light on the self-critic, and to build inner calm and confidence. We can work on setting personal goals, clarifying values and making life choices that feel more aligned with your authentic self.
