Louise Aslett MBACP. DIP PSY C. Online & Telephone Counsellor (UK)
Life can be challenging and you may be finding it difficult to manage. The problem you face may be overwhelming you causing distress. I will offer you a safe space to feel comfortable to talk. My aim is to help you feel valued and supported. When ready your feelings can be explored with no fear of judgement.
I am a fully qualified counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), working within their ethical framework. I offer adult (over 18) telephone and online counselling using the platform zoom.
I work in an integrative way using the models Person-centred, Psychodynamic, and Behavioural. These models can be tailored to your individual needs, with the capacity to look at your present, past and help you move forward with your future. My aim is to work collaboratively with you towards your goals that could lead to positive change to how you are feeling.
Before starting in private practice my experience includes counselling for a bereavement charity and NHS setting. My areas of interest are Bereavement, anxiety and low self esteem.
Please feel free to contact me by telephone or email to see if I am suited to you. If you decide to go forward with counselling I can read through the contract and Privacy statement ( GDPR) and email to you. Once returned to me completed and signed counselling can commence.
First Counselling Session
The first counselling session will be focussed on an assessment of what brings you to counselling which helps me build a bigger picture of your needs. This may reveal you may be better helped by a more specialist counsellor/professional.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
