About me

You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious or low, or perhaps you simply know that something in your life doesn’t feel quite right. You don’t need to have everything worked out before coming to counselling.

I offer a warm, down-to-earth space where you can talk openly, feel genuinely heard and begin to understand yourself and find a way forward. I believe counselling should feel like a conversation between two people, rather than something clinical or intimidating.

I work in a pluralistic way, which means there is no single approach that suits everyone. We can work together to find what feels most useful for you. My approach is grounded particularly in person-centred and psychodynamic counselling, while also drawing on other approaches and practical strategies where they may help.

I can support you with issues including anxiety, low mood, stress, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, bereavement, life changes and times when you may simply feel lost or unsure of what comes next.

I offer online counselling and walking therapy, giving you the choice of working in the way that feels most comfortable for you. I am also a qualified hypnotherapist and, where appropriate, hypnotherapy can be incorporated into our counselling work.

Taking the first step can sometimes feel difficult, so I offer a free 15-minute online consultation where we can meet briefly, talk about what has brought you to counselling and see whether you feel I might be the right counsellor for you.

You’re welcome to contact me by text or WhatsApp; please message rather than call, as I’m often unable to answer the phone.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Level 5 Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Practice, following completion of my Level 4 Diploma in Counselling Skills and Theory. I am an Accredited Registrant with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).

I also hold a Level 3 Diploma in Hypnotherapy and a Certificate in Life Coaching, alongside a BA (Hons) and PGCE.

My counselling training is pluralistic, with a strong foundation in person-centred and psychodynamic approaches. I have experience working with adults with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, self-esteem and significant life changes.

I undertake regular supervision and ongoing professional development as part of my practice.
