Lisa Eaton Counselling & Psychotherapy (CBT) Dip.Couns (MBACP)
Hello and Welcome, I'm Lisa and I offer Professional Counselling and Psychotherapy (CBT) from a Comfortable and Private Room in Broadstone, Dorset to Young People 11 + and Adults.
Finding the right person to talk to can seem daunting and you might be feeling overwhelmed or nervous about making the first step, with this in mind I hope to provide you with a friendly introduction to myself and how I work.
I am a Qualified Counsellor with experience of working with Young People and Adults.
As well as my Private Practice in Broadstone I also worked as a Counsellor and now a Supervisor at a local agency working with Adult Survivors of Childhood Abuse (H2H), specialising in trauma.
I have previously worked within an NHS Doctors Medical Centre (DRMC) Counselling patients with a whole range of issues and Mental Health Problems.
I can offer you a safe, confidential space to come and explore whatever you wish to bring, whether this be short term or long term counselling, I can be flexible depending on your needs.
I have a strong belief that we CAN ALL change and be that person we want to be!
How I work - in our sessions my aim is to develop a therapeutic relationship to enable you to feel safe enough to explore your concerns and be listened to in a way that may not have happened before. I will offer you the opportunity to discuss your problems with me in a warm, neutral, confidential, non-judgemental environment, enabling you if you so wish, to explore any root causes of painful, negative feelings and thoughts which may then enable you to move on from feeling stuck and enjoy life in a different way.

Areas of counselling I deal with
I know that one of the issues that can put you off looking for counselling is the cost, with this in mind I try to ensure my fees match your income.
I charge between £35 and £45 per session, this can be discussed during the initial consultation.
I have two concession places available for people on low income/benefits
Trainee Counsellors doing their 40 hours of therapy are at a reduced rate of £30 per session.
Your first Session/Consultation will last for 30/40 minutes where there will be NO CHARGE. This gives you a chance to see the room where we will be working and meet with myself. I will write some notes and from here discuss if working together is what's best for you.
I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and a member of the BACP Children and Young People Division which means I follow their Code of Ethical and Professional Conduct.
I am a Person-Centred and Integrative Counsellor which means I can be flexible in how I work depending on your needs. As a compassionate and engaging Person Centred Counsellor, I believe that you have the ability to change as you learn more about yourself to re discover your inner resources enabling you to find your best way forward. I am also able to work using CBT and Mindfulness for Stress and Anxiety.
