About me
HI there, I'm Lindsay, and I specialise in working with Anxiety, Low Self-Esteem, and Interpersonal Trauma (trauma between people).
I initially trained as an integrative therapist, and qualified whilst working within a trauma and abuse service in Sheffield. I soon realised how essential CBT was in helping clients understand their triggers, and what thoughts and reactions are keeping them 'stuck' where they are.
Anxiety and low self-esteem can be so debilitating, I know because I was there, for many many years. Well-meaning comments such as 'Just relax' or 'Don't worry about it' really didn't help, in fact, they made me feel like a failure and more confused and ashamed as to why I was different.
I will help you find ways to understand what caused your anxiety and what's keeping it going. And I'll give you the strategies and tools that can free you!
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained as an intergrative therapist and went on to study CBT further.
I'm very experienced in working with sexual trauma and abuse.
Prior to my own practice previous experience is working with Eva Therapy, Sheffield CBT Practice and Cornerstone Therapy Service in Sheffield.
