About me

Hi, I’m Lewis, a qualified pluralistic therapist based in Blackpool.

Many of the people I work with struggle with anxiety in different forms. You may find yourself constantly overthinking, feeling on edge, struggling to switch your mind off, or feeling emotionally exhausted from trying to cope with everything on your own. Anxiety can affect relationships, sleep, confidence, work, and your ability to enjoy everyday life, often leaving you feeling stuck or overwhelmed.

Therapy offers a space where you can slow things down, make sense of what’s going on, and begin to feel more in control again.

As a pluralistic therapist, I believe there is no single approach that works for everyone. We are all different, and therapy should reflect that. I work collaboratively with you to understand your experiences and tailor therapy around what feels most helpful for your individual needs and goals.

Alongside my pluralistic training, I am currently studying CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), which has strengthened my ability to support clients experiencing anxiety, stress, and unhelpful thinking patterns. This means I can offer both a supportive space to explore your experiences and, where appropriate, practical tools and techniques to help you better understand and manage anxiety in day-to-day life.

My approach also draws from person-centred, psychodynamic, and mindfulness-based therapies, allowing us to work flexibly depending on what feels right for you. Some clients want space to talk openly and feel heard without judgement, while others may benefit from developing coping strategies, building self-awareness, or exploring deeper patterns that may be contributing to their anxiety.

At the heart of my work is creating a warm, genuine, and down-to-earth therapeutic relationship where you feel safe to be yourself. I see therapy as a partnership, and I regularly check in with you about how the work is feeling and whether it is meeting your needs.

You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Whether your anxiety feels mild and persistent or overwhelming and difficult to manage, we can work together at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

If you’re considering therapy and would like to explore whether we might be a good fit, please feel free to get in touch.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
