About me

My name is Leila, and I’m an integrative counsellor offering a calm, supportive space where you can talk openly about what’s been weighing on you.

Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns that no longer feel helpful. I support clients who want to explore self-esteem, relationship concerns, bereavement, low mood, and life changes, and I have a specialist interest and experience working with anxiety, in particular how it’s less about what’s happening on the surface and more about what your mind and body are trying to protect you from. With my clients, I like to explore with them and help them understand where it comes from, and move towards finding a steadier, kinder ways of responding to it.

I also have a strong interest in working with anger. Anger is often misunderstood or pushed away, yet it can be a powerful signal that something isn’t being processed because feelings of anger alone, is rarely the whole story. In our work together, we can explore what sits beneath it and how to express it in ways that feel safer and more constructive.

As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a range of approaches including Person- centred, DBT, CBT, mindfulness-based techniques, and solution focussed therapy and I tailor our sessions to suit you as an individual. My work is collaborative and flexible, and is guided by what feels most helpful for you rather than a fixed method.

I always have the utmost respect for your experiences. I aim to create a space where you feel able to be honest and open as we make sense of things together.

If you’re feeling unsure about starting therapy, that’s completely understandable. You’re welcome to reach out to ask questions or arrange a consultation. I’d be glad to talk with you about how counselling might support you.
