About me
Hi, I’m Laura. I offer a safe therapeutic space for you to explore what is challenging you. Whatever your reasons for seeking therapy, I believe it is paramount for you to feel truly heard and understood, a vital process in itself. I work in a collaborative and relational way to achieve this. I will support you in exploring your challenges, and how you would ultimately like to be in relation to yourself, others, and your wider environment. Therapy provides a unique space to help you to make sense of your experience and emotions, and from this achieve greater fulfilment from your life and relationships.
My background is in Marketing and teaching young adults. I also have over 2 years of experience working within psychiatric rehabilitation settings, supporting adults to overcome extreme adversity and trauma. I have come to be passionate about each of us having our own unique experience and story. I passionately believe increased awareness can allow access to greater choice over who and how we want to be. I strongly believe in and work within a trauma-informed approach.
I currently accept clients both online or over the phone, and face to face At The Treatment Hub in Basingstoke, Hampshire. I work with adults on both a short term and long term basis. I accept clients funded by the following insurers: AXA Health, Vitality Health, and Aviva
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a fully qualified, UKCP accredited Psychotherapist and Counsellor. I hold an MSc in Humanistic Psychotherapy and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Humanistic Psychotherapy gained from Metanoia Institute. I integrate the modalities of Transactional Analysis, Gestalt, and Person-Centred. This enables me to provide a unique approach which I can tailor to individual needs.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
