About me
Therapist & Clinical Supervisor
Hello, and thanks for visiting my profile.
I’m Laura, an online and telephone-based integrative counsellor, psychotherapist, and clinical supervisor. I believe that therapy and supervision work best when they are human, honest, and collaborative. My aim is to create a safe space where you can speak openly about what’s really going on, explore patterns and reactions, and find ways forward that feel right for you.
Whether you’re seeking therapy for yourself or professional supervision to support your practice, I work alongside you to navigate challenges, gain clarity, and build resilience.
🔹 My Approach
I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, tailoring my work to your needs rather than fitting you into a model. In therapy or supervision, we’ll explore patterns, reactions, and feelings together — including the parts that can be confusing, painful, or overwhelming. My approach is client- or supervisee-led, collaborative, and grounded, allowing us to focus on what matters most to you.
I also pay attention to dynamics like countertransference and the emotional impact of client work, creating space for reflection, insight, and professional growth.
🔹 Experience & Specialisms
I have worked with a wide range of clients and supervisees across different life stages and settings, including schools, hospices, hospitals, and private practice.
Therapy specialisms include:
Traumatic bereavement and complex grief
Suicide prevention
Trauma, abuse, and recovery
Anxiety and depression
Personality difficulties
Family breakdowns and relationship challenges
Supervision specialisms include:
Supporting trainee and qualified counsellors, family support workers, and tutors
Reflective practice, clinical oversight, and professional development
Exploring countertransference, challenging cases, and ethical dilemmas
🔹 About My Practice
Life can bring challenges — illness, bereavement, relationship breakdowns, career changes, or past trauma. These experiences can feel overwhelming, leaving us unsure how to manage day-to-day life. Sometimes what helps most is an external perspective — a compassionate, non-judgmental listener to help untangle thoughts, emotions, and patterns.
I offer one-to-one therapy and supervision sessions online or by telephone, providing a flexible, safe, and confidential space where you can explore what’s happening for you or in your professional practice.
🔹 Who I Work With
Clients: children, young people, adults, and older adults seeking support with grief, trauma, mental health, or personal development
Supervisees: trainee and qualified counsellors, family support workers, and tutors
🔹 How We Work
Online or telephone sessions
Client- or supervisee-led sessions tailored to your needs
Flexible scheduling for therapy or supervision
🔹 First Session
I offer a 20-minute initial free call for therapy or supervision. This is an opportunity to get to know each other, discuss your needs, and see if we’re a good fit.
In the first full session, we can:
Explore goals, priorities, and immediate challenges
Agree on session structure, frequency, and style
Set the tone for a collaborative and supportive relationship
🔹 Professional Commitment
I am committed to providing a welcoming, non-judgmental, and inclusive space for all clients and supervisees. I believe that with reflection, support, and empathy, positive change is possible — whether it’s personal growth through therapy or professional growth through supervision.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified integrative counsellor/psychotherapist which means I will look at a variety of models and ways in which I can help and support you best.
I offer a professional, ethical non-judgmental, safe and confidential space to enable you to explore and gain an understanding of the situations that may be affecting or surrounding you.
In my own personal counselling career experience I have worked with an array of issues and ages working with colleges and local communities suffering with trauma, personality disorder, abuse, anxiety and depression etc specifically within loss, bereavement and complex grief through my work at a Hospice.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
