About me

Many of the people I work with have spent years feeling slightly out of step; with relationships, school, work, or with society’s idea of what’s ‘normal’. I particularly enjoy working with people from the LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent communities, including those who are questioning, self-identifying, or exploring whether to seek a formal diagnosis. You might be:

  • wondering if you’re Autistic, ADHD, or AuDHD (both Autistic and ADHD), and trying to make sense of experiences that never quite added up;
  • realising later in life that you’re neurodivergent, and working out how to build a life in which you can thrive rather than just survive;
  • questioning your sexuality, gender, or relationship style, and wanting space to explore this safely;
  • in a non-heteronormative relationship and looking for a therapist who understands without needing everything explained;
  • navigating depression, anxiety, grief, self-esteem, or relationship challenges alongside the experience of not fitting societal expectations;
  • or simply wanting to grow, deepen self-understanding, and live more fully.

I recognise that our struggles don’t exist in a vacuum. They are shaped by the environments we’ve had to navigate, the expectations placed on us, and the adaptations we’ve made to belong.

I aim to create a calm, supportive space where you feel genuinely heard and understood. I bring warmth, openness, and a non-judgemental approach to our work. Our sessions are led by you. My role is to help you develop greater self-awareness, clarify your needs, and support you as you move toward the changes you want to make. I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, tailoring our work to what suits you best.

I work in a trauma-informed way. If trauma is your primary reason for seeking therapy, I would encourage you to seek a specialist. I do not work with high levels of risk, domestic abuse, addiction, or eating disorders.

If you’d like to explore whether we might work well together, I offer a free initial consultation. Please let me know in your message if you would prefer me to reply by email, WhatsApp or SMS.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

NCPS
National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS)

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
