About me

Welcome. Taking the first step to find a therapist can be daunting. You may be, or be wondering if you are, neurodiverse, trying to understand how childhood trauma affects your current relationships and self-esteem, or living with a chronic condition that impacts your feelings and functionality.

You might be managing a complex home life or a high-pressure job, feeling lost or deeply unsatisfied in your career, processing the grief of a loved one, or feeling confused by your own behaviour and feeling out of control, or managing difficult emotions, among other human experiences. Modern life is complex, and prioritizing your emotional well-being can be challenging.

Counselling offers a space to explore your needs, desires, grief, and unprocessed hurts. It can be a healing and transformative process. I am committed to ensuring you feel deeply heard and empowered.

My practice is founded on curiosity and honouring your journey and perspective as you grow in self-understanding and self-compassion. I will never judge you or dictate your answers but will help you realize that you have your own answers within you, with increasing clarity.

I particularly welcome clients who are exploring their neurodiversity or living with, or suspect they may be living with, women's health issues such as PMDD, menopause, PCOS, fibromyalgia, or endometriosis, or who are experiencing any kind of emotional distress. My expertise as an advanced nurse practitioner, combined with my personal journey, has motivated me to specialize in women's health and neurodiversity in my private practice. However, I am adept at addressing the needs of all genders and am open to discussing any issues you may wish to bring forward or delve into.

I wholeheartedly welcome anyone from the LGBTQI+ community and aim to provide a gender-affirming environment.

I adopt a holistic approach to emotional well-being, which, if you choose, can include exploring neurodiversity and hormonal health, physical health, societal experiences and marginalization, as well as adverse childhood experiences and trauma. This 'whole person, whole experience' approach can be profoundly healing. I also promote self-compassion and the discovery of strengths and I work with frameworks that encourage both.

I am committed to making counselling affordable so please contact me if my fee's are out of your reach so we can discuss a sliding scale if I can accommodate this.
