About me

Welcome. Taking the first step to find a therapist can be daunting. You may be, or be wondering if you are neurodivergent ( autistic, ADHD, or AudHD for example),  trying to understand how childhood trauma affects your current relationships and self-esteem, or living with a chronic condition that impacts your feelings and functionality.

You might be managing a complex home life or a high-pressure job, feeling lost or deeply unsatisfied in your career or relationships, processing the grief of a loved one, or feeling confused by your own behaviour and feeling out of control, or managing difficult emotions, among other human experiences. Modern life is complex, and finding and prioritizing your emotional well-being can be challenging.

Counselling offers a space to explore your needs, desires, grief, and unprocessed hurts. It can be a healing and transformative process. I am committed to ensuring you feel deeply heard and empowered.

My practice is founded on curiosity and honouring your journey and perspective as you grow in self-understanding and self-compassion. I will never judge you or dictate your answers but will help you realize that you have your own answers within you, with increasing clarity.

I particularly welcome clients who are exploring their neurodivergence or living with, or suspect they may be living with, women's health issues such as PMDD, menopause, PCOS, fibromyalgia, or endometriosis, or who are experiencing any kind of emotional distress. My expertise as an advanced nurse practitioner, combined with my personal journey, has motivated me to specialize in women's health, ADHD and autism in my private practice. However, I am adept at addressing the needs of all and am open to discussing any issues you may wish to bring forward or delve into, whatever you gender.

I wholeheartedly welcome anyone from the LGBTQI+ community and aim to provide a gender-affirming environment.

I adopt a holistic approach to emotional well-being and aim to promote self-compassion and the discovery of strengths as well as exploring difficulties.

I am committed to making counselling affordable so please contact me if my fee's are out of your reach so we can discuss a sliding scale if I can accommodate this.
