About me

I am a qualified counsellor with added experience in coaching and mentoring. I believe in a warm, empathic approach to counselling working closely with my clients in a non-judgemental and equal way. I offer a safe and confidential space where you can explore your feelings and experiences. As a Person-Centred Counsellor, I believe that given the right environment and support, we have the capacity to live fulfilled, contented lives. My role is to provide support when life becomes challenging, working with my clients to help them find ways forward.

How can this help?

Being able to talk through feelings and experiences, being heard and given the time to reflect and explore often difficult issues in a safe and confidential environment can help us work towards finding peace, calm and purpose in difficult times.

Our life experiences can be challenging and are always individual. I can help navigate the feelings and emotions these challenges bring, helping you to find your own way through these difficulties.

My work is nondirective, non-judgemental and client led which means that you decide what you wish to bring to the counselling space and we work through issues together. I have experience of working with teenagers and young adults, as well as midlife and older persons across many issues.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
