About me

I’m Keziah, a qualified person-centered counsellor, yoga and equine therapist. I offer a calm, supportive space for adults and young people who are wanting to reconnect with themselves — emotionally, mentally, and physically — and find more steadiness in their lives.

I work in a person-centered, relational way, meaning therapy is shaped by your lived experience and what feels most meaningful to you. I offer a warm, respectful relationship where thoughts, emotions, and patterns can be explored without judgement, and with sensitivity to how these are held in the body.

If you feel drawn to a relational and compassionate approach to therapy, you’re welcome to get in touch to explore whether this way of working feels right for you.

I support clients experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, low self-esteem, grief and loss, life transitions, and the ongoing impact of trauma. You don’t need a clear “reason” to come to therapy - sometimes it’s enough to feel that something isn’t quite right.

Alongside talking therapy, my work is informed by a trauma-aware, body-based perspective. Where appropriate and with your consent, we may gently explore how emotions or stress are held in the body, using grounding or breath-based practices to support regulation and safety.

Clients often experience me as calm, thoughtful, and attuned, and I tailor my approach carefully to each individual.

What sessions are like
Sessions provide a consistent, supportive space to reflect and explore. Some sessions may focus on understanding experiences and relationships, while others may involve grounding or stabilising work. We will regularly review how the therapy feels and adjust our work to support you best.

If you’re seeking a therapist who can offer a steady presence and thoughtful, compassionate support, I would be happy to hear from you.

I offer in person (Bridgend based) or online/ phone sessions.

Training, qualifications & experience

My work as a counsellor is informed by a broad background across youth work, therapeutic support, and body-based practice, alongside my formal counselling training.

I hold a degree in Youth and Community Work, which provided a strong foundation in relational practice, safeguarding, and supporting individuals with complex emotional and behavioural needs. I have over five years’ experience working within alternative education, including equine-assisted (horse-based) therapeutic settings, supporting young people who were often disengaged from mainstream education and involved with social services. This work involved holding safe, attuned spaces for individuals experiencing trauma, emotional distress, and behavioural challenges.

Alongside this, I have trained and practised in yoga and yoga therapy, with over two years’ experience of holding therapeutic, body-aware spaces. My yoga qualifications inform a trauma-aware understanding of the nervous system, embodiment, and regulation, which gently supports my counselling work where appropriate and with consent.

I am a qualified person-centred counsellor, working in a relational way. I have experience offering counselling in person and remotely, including online, telephone, and text-based support, adapting my approach to suit different needs, access requirements, and comfort levels.

I am committed to ongoing supervision, professional development, and reflective practice, and I work ethically and inclusively with adults from a wide range of backgrounds.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

My work as a counsellor is shaped by a broad and grounded background across youth work, therapeutic support, equine-assisted practice, and body-aware approaches, alongside my formal counselling training.

I hold a degree in Youth and Community Work, which provided a strong foundation in relational practice, safeguarding, and supporting individuals with complex emotional and behavioural needs. I have over five years’ experience working within alternative education and therapeutic settings, including my work with Liberty Horses CIC, a community interest company offering equine-assisted therapeutic support.

Through Liberty Horses CIC, I supported young people and adults who were often disengaged from mainstream education and services, many of whom were involved with social services or experiencing significant emotional and behavioural challenges. My role involved holding safe, attuned spaces, building trusting relationships, and supporting emotional regulation, confidence, and self-awareness through relational and experiential work with horses and the natural environment.

Alongside this, I am a qualified yoga practitioner, with over two years’ experience offering yoga therapy–informed, body-aware spaces. This work has deepened my understanding of how stress, trauma, and emotion are held in the body and nervous system. As a body-aware practitioner, I bring this awareness gently into my counselling work where appropriate, supporting clients to notice bodily signals, grounding, and regulation - always with consent and at a pace that feels safe.

I am a qualified person-centred counsellor. I have experience offering counselling in person and remotely, including online, telephone, and text-based support, adapting my approach to suit different access needs, preferences, and levels of comfort. Whether working face-to-face or online, I aim to offer the same consistent, attuned, and supportive therapeutic relationship.

I am committed to ongoing professional development, supervision, and reflective practice, and I work ethically and inclusively with adults from a wide range of backgrounds.
