Support for adults feeling anxious, low, or overwhelmed

About me

When someone reaches the point of thinking, “I can’t go on like this,” it often comes after a long time of coping alone. You may have been holding everything together for others, masking how overwhelmed you feel, or trying to stay strong even as something inside you is quietly unravelling.

For many of the people I work with, this moment isn’t dramatic — it’s a private recognition that life has become too heavy, too confusing, or too far from who they feel they truly are. You might be feeling emotionally drained, stuck in patterns you can’t shift, or unsure how to make sense of the intensity of your inner world. You may also be navigating questions around identity, neurodivergence, or belonging, and wondering why things feel harder for you than they seem for others.

Therapy offers a space where you don’t have to keep managing all of this on your own. My approach is calm, steady, and collaborative. Together, we can explore what’s been happening beneath the surface, understand the parts of you that have been working so hard to cope, and begin to find a way forward that feels more grounded, spacious, and aligned with who you are.

I am a BACP accredited counsellor offering both online sessions and in‑person sessions in Greenwich. You’re welcome to choose the format that feels most comfortable and accessible for you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (CPCAB level 5), and I’m an accredited member of the BACP. This means my training, experience, and ongoing professional development have been formally recognised, and I work in line with the BACP’s ethical framework.

My experience includes working in community counselling services and private practice, supporting people through anxiety, depression, identity questions, relationship patterns, and long‑standing emotional struggles. I’ve also completed additional training in trauma‑informed practice, neurodiversity‑affirming approaches, and working with clients who feel overwhelmed, out of step, or disconnected from themselves.

My way of working is integrative. I draw from Person‑Centred, Psychodynamic, and Transpersonal approaches, alongside other frameworks that support deeper self‑understanding. My aim is always to meet you as a whole person and shape the work around what you need.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Further information

Many of the people I work with describe feeling overwhelmed, out of step, or as though they’re carrying more than they can comfortably hold. You might be navigating anxiety, burnout, identity questions, or long‑standing patterns that keep pulling you back into the same emotional places. For neurodivergent clients, this can also include years of masking, pushing through, or trying to make sense of an inner world that feels intense or easily overloaded.

In our work together, you don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly where to begin. My role is to offer a calm, steady space where you can slow down, notice what’s happening beneath the surface, and explore things at a pace that feels manageable. I’m collaborative and gentle in my approach, and I welcome the parts of you that feel sensitive, analytical, emotional, or unsure.

Whether we meet online or face to face in Greenwich, my aim is to help you feel understood and supported as you reconnect with yourself and begin to shape a way of being that feels more grounded and sustainable.
