About me

A Warm Welcome

I know how daunting it can feel to reach out for support. Most people don’t come to counselling because things are easy. They come because something inside is asking for space, understanding, to be heard or simply a moment to breathe. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or unsure of how to put your experience into words, you’re not alone. I offer a place where you can slow down, settle, and be met with genuine care and empathy. I offer sessions in English, Malayalam and can understand Tamil.

People often find their way to me when life feels heavy or confusing: when motivation has dipped, sleep is unsettled, relationships feel strained, or emotions feel too tangled to manage alone. You might be navigating family expectations, cultural pressures, grief, burnout, or a sense of not quite belonging. Whatever you’re carrying, you’re welcome exactly as you are.

I work as an integrative counsellor, guided by person‑centred values and a deep respect for your pace. For me, therapy begins with relationship, one built on trust, warmth, and a real human connection. As a British Asian therapist, I also understand the quieter complexities of identity, belonging, and the push‑and‑pull of living between cultures. You won’t need to translate or justify your experience here; this is a space where your story can unfold safely and without judgement.

My own journey through therapy is what led me into this work, and it continues to shape the way I sit with others — with curiosity, compassion, and a belief in the strength people often don’t realise they have. Over the years, I’ve supported individuals from many different backgrounds through a wide range of emotional challenges, and I hold each person’s story with care.

If you’re thinking about counselling, I offer a free 20‑minute phone consultation so we can gently explore what you’re looking for and whether we feel like a good fit.

When you feel ready, you’re welcome to get in touch with me.

When you feel ready, I’m here.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
