Katy Wilson MBACP (Accred)
I am an experienced, qualified and accredited Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I have been practicing in the Petersfield area for over fourteen years. I provide professional and confidential one-to-one counselling for adults and adolescents. I am able to offer short-term or long-term counselling therapy, depending on your needs, in a safe, supportive and non-judgmental environment, in which you are able to explore past experiences, current difficulties and future possibilities. I work with an integrative approach, which means that I integrate ideas and insights drawn from different counselling models in order to respond appropriately to the needs of individual clients.
There can be many reasons for seeking counselling or therapy including relationship issues, loss & grief, depression, anxiety, abuse, life transitions or simply to discover more about yourself and how you relate to others.
We are all faced with life’s challenges. Sometimes having time out and talking with family and friends is enough of a support to get us through those difficult times. However, emotions and life experiences or circumstances can sometimes become overwhelming and professional help may be needed. This can include visiting your GP, as well as exploring the talking therapies.
I am committed to my own personal and professional development. I do this by attending regular workshops, trainings and seminars; I also participate in monthly supervision.

I offer a free half hour introductory session, and welcome any questions you might have about counselling and my practice in order to support you in deciding whether I might be the right counsellor for you at this time.
Sessions are for one hour on a weekly basis. We will agree a session time that is convenient for you and you can have that time for as long as we have contracted. I am able to offer daytime and early evening appointments.
My fee is £40 per session, payable at the end of each appointment (please note I do not take credit cards) and missed appointments are charged for unless 24 hours notice is given of cancellation.
I hold a current enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check (CRB).
In addition to my private practice, I work in a large, co-educational boarding school as an independent counsellor with students aged between 14 - 18 years as well as staff.
