About me

I am a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist working with adults. My private practice is based in Wallingford, south Oxfordshire.

I specialise in understanding deep-rooted unconscious difficulties that prevent from living life in full. Psychoanalytic psychotherapy is a long-term commitment with open ending. It can be a worthwhile investment towards meaningful personal development. Gaining insight and working through the hidden complexities of early emotional experience free up capacities for other areas in adult life that otherwise might have stayed dammed.

Training, qualifications & experience

I initially trained in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy in Prague and completed it with a Masters Degree with Honours. Then, I gained further clinical training at the Tavistock Centre in London. After working for a number of years in the NHS, I am now in private practice. I also work part-time at Camden Psychotherapy Unit in London, a renowned charity offering low-cost psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

I have been in personal five times per week psychoanalysis for many years, which gives me first hand experience and expertise of what it is like to be in a long-term intensive psychotherapy as a patient.

I am accredited with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society.

I am a Candidate Member of the British Psychoanalytical Society.

Additional information

Weekly sessions are 50 minutes’ long and my standard fee is £65 per session. Preliminary consultations, which take up to 90 minutes cost £80. Usually, we would need to meet twice to decide whether we could work together and whether this type of treatment would be helpful.

Some people come more frequently, in which case the fee per session is reduced.

I also work as a part of the Low Fee Scheme with the Institute of Psychoanalysis, which means I can offer five times per week psychoanalysis at a significantly reduced fee.

Initial phone call of max 15 minutes is for free.
