About me

Hello and Welcome to my profile. Thank you for taking the time to take a look. I understand that coming to counselling can be a daunting experience, but I provide a warm, welcoming and confidential environment where you can bring anything you wish to discuss. I am a fully qualified counsellor and an accredited member of the National Counselling Society. I mainly work in an integrative way, using Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral and Compassion Focused therapies. I come from an NHS background having initially trained as a nurse. I am passionate about helping people and seeing them overcome and manage personal difficulties.

I have a keen interest in Grief and Loss, which covers everything from bereavement to supporting people with medical conditions such as diabetes. I work as a volunteer counsellor with the  local Hospice and I provide a counselling service to support family and friends for the North Somerset LGBT+ forum. I also have an interest in spirituality and am currently receiving training in this area.

How I can Help You

I believe Counselling isn't just about sitting in a room with a therapist. Therefore, I provide a variety of different therapy types. For example, this could typically be face to face in a private setting such as a counselling room or in your home. I also provide walk and talk therapy where we have the counselling session outside. For situations where face to face counselling may not be appropriate, we can speak on the phone or online via zoom. In the first instance please contact me either by phone or via email to arrange a free 30 minute consultation where we can discuss if can work together.

I can help people with the following:

  • Grief and Bereavement
  • Coming to Terms with Medical Difficulties
  • Anxiety and Depression
  • Low Confidence and Self-Esteem

I can work with you for either short or longer term therapy. Alternatively if you feel a one off counselling session would be of benefit to you, I am happy to do this.
