About me

I work with clients for either short focused counselling or longer-term psychotherapeutic work. I also offer what is known as Emotional Freedom Technique or Tapping. This is a gentle and soothing complimentary treatment that promotes healing and embeds talking therapy.

My practice particularly focuses on supporting people with anxiety, depression, bereavement and trauma.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have an Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling. My training was across a diverse range of counselling and psychodynamic theories and ways of practice. This means I use a range of skills and helpful techniques to best address your individual need.

I have worked as a teacher; a school advisor for children with emotional difficulties; managing a parenting charity; training professionals working with families and as the Strategic Lead for Children and Families for a local authority. I bring gentleness, empathy and knowledge to my counselling work.

Accessibility

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
