MBACP Registered Integrative Counsellor

About me

If you find yourself experiencing stress, anxiety, grief, anger, low self-esteem, or are feeling really down to the point where you don’t even feel like seeing other people, It can be exhausting. But this is not something you need to face by yourself. These emotions can originate from many different places, and together we can figure them out. During our sessions, I will provide you with a warm and caring setting, where you can be yourself without outside influences and judgements.

At the beginning of our work, I will go through some important questions with you to get to know you better, understand why you are seeking therapy and what you would like to achieve during our time together.

As an integrative counsellor, I am equipped to draw from different theories and techniques to best meet your individual needs. During our work together, I seek to create a warm and compassionate environment for you to feel safe to offload what is on your mind, and together we can work to make sense of it. I can meet you where you are in life, and support you in understanding where your difficult emotions and reactions originate. We can try to understand how these are affecting your relationships, life in general, even your physical health, and what activates them. Together we can try to find the best ways for you to regulate the thoughts, as well those body sensations that come with them, when something triggering is happening in your life, so that over time you can adapt easier to life’s challenges and feel more in control.

Everyone is unique and may require a different amount of time in counselling, so we will work with what is right for you. We can work in-person or online, whatever feels most comfortable for you.

If you would like to find out more and see if I would be the right counsellor for you, I offer a free 15 minutes initial consultation. Please get in touch via my website, where you can find more information too.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
