About me

Welcome to my page. I’m a qualified Person-Centred Therapist, here to offer you a warm and supportive space to talk, explore, and simply be yourself. Whether you’re going through something difficult or finding that life feels a little too much right now, I’ll work at a pace that feels right for you.

Person-Centred Therapy recognises that we all have the potential to grow and move towards our true potential when we have the right conditions to do so. However, life can bring difficulties and painful experiences that can leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of where to turn.

Finding a safe space to talk can be the first step towards feeling heard and understood. I offer a calm, welcoming space where you can talk openly about whatever is on your mind, without judgement or pressure.

You don’t need to know exactly where to start. I’ll offer you the time and space to explore your experiences and feelings, at a pace that feels right for you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Further information

I’m committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming practice, where everyone is treated with warmth, respect, and acceptance.

Starting counselling can feel daunting, and different approaches may be more suited to different people and circumstances. I’m happy to offer a free, informal phone call to answer any questions and help you explore what might feel right for you at this point in your life.

A little about me- Growing up in Cornwall, I’ve always appreciated the beauty, nature, and slower pace of life that surrounds us here. These have shaped my own appreciation for mindfulness, connection and taking time to pause.

Before becoming a counsellor, I’ve always had a genuine interest in people - how we think, feel, and make sense of the world around us. My background in Human Behavioural Studies and Childhood Education gave me a strong foundation for understanding human development and wellbeing.

My passion continued through working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. These experiences deepened my curiosity about people and strengthened my desire to understand how we can support one another through life's challenges.

This journey ultimately led me to Person-Centred Counselling, where I’m passionate about creating a space where people feel heard, accepted, and able to explore themselves at their own pace.

I feel privileged to walk alongside people as they develop greater understanding, self-awareness, and growth.

If you’d like to find out more about me or counselling, feel free to get in touch with any questions. I’m always happy to help.
