About me

As with many of us, you may be finding life challenging at the moment and need a space where you can feel less alone and have an opportunity to talk through some of the problems you may be experiencing or to work through some emotional issues.  I offer counselling either via Zoom or face to face in a safe and confidential setting where together we can work through whatever difficulties you may currently be dealing with and find a way of moving forward.  My aim is to support you to gain more understanding about your situation, to learn more about yourself and to find your own strengths that will enable you to make the changes that are important to you and to find more fulfilment and satisfaction in your life.

Depending on what your difficulties are and what you may want to change, as an integrative practitioner I draw from a range of psychological and practical approaches to find the most suitable way of working with you.  You may find it helpful to have just a few counselling sessions to focus on a specific problem and to obtain some immediate support or you may wish to explore some longer standing issues in more depth which we can do over a longer period of time.

The range of issues that I can support you with include stress, anxiety and depression, relationship and communication difficulties, problems at work, dealing with the impact of early trauma and abuse, low self-esteem, bereavement and grief and understanding feelings of anger.

If you have any queries and would like to discuss arranging an appointment, please can me on 07887 354705 or send me an email.  I will aim to get back to you within 48 hours.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
