About me
Reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step, and I understand that finding the right counsellor is an important part of the process. I strive to create a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental environment where you feel safe to talk openly and explore whatever is on your mind.
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, whether you're experiencing anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, loss, stress, low self-esteem, addiction-related challenges, or simply feeling stuck. Whatever has brought you to counselling, I will work alongside you with empathy, curiosity and respect, helping you make sense of your experiences at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
I offer online counselling for adults, either over the phone or via video, providing a confidential and supportive space that is accessible from the comfort of your own home. Together, we will explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences, helping you gain greater self-awareness, develop resilience and work towards meaningful and lasting change.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified therapeutic counsellor, having completed the CPCAB Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills, Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies and Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
I work from an integrative perspective, with my practice grounded primarily in the person-centred approach. This means I believe that you are the expert on your own life and that, given the right environment, people have the capacity to grow, heal, and make meaningful change.
At the heart of my work is building a genuine, trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel accepted, listened to and understood without judgement. I recognise that every person's experiences are unique and I tailor our work together to meet your individual needs and goals.
My integrative training enables me to draw on ideas from a range of therapeutic approaches when appropriate, while always keeping the therapeutic relationship at the centre of our work. Together, we can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences, develop greater self-awareness, understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and work towards meaningful and lasting change.
During my training, I completed over 100 supervised client hours, working with adults from diverse backgrounds. I received regular clinical supervision throughout my placement, enabling me to develop strong therapeutic relationships while working ethically, safely, and reflectively.
My experience includes providing online support to those in crisis and working within an addiction service, supporting individuals affected by substance use and related challenges. I have worked with clients presenting with concerns including anxiety, depression, bereavement, relationship difficulties, trauma, low self-esteem, addiction, and life transitions.
Whether you are experiencing a specific difficulty or simply feel overwhelmed by life's challenges, I offer a safe, confidential, and supportive space where you can explore whatever is important to you at your own pace.
I believe counselling is a collaborative process. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to support and empower you as you gain insight, build resilience and move towards the changes that feel right for you.
As a newly qualified counsellor, I am committed to ongoing professional development and continue to expand my knowledge and skills to provide the highest standard of support to my clients.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
