About me
As a Clinical Psychologist and EMDR Therapist, I have experience working with people with a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression and low mood, trauma, low self-esteem and grief, within both private and NHS settings. My therapeutic approach is integrative and draws on principles from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have also completed training in Attachment Informed EMDR, a therapeutic model that brings early formative experiences into our understanding of current difficulties.
Everybody experiences psychological distress but sometimes this can get in the way of us living our lives. When this happens, talking therapy can help us to reflect on how we got to where we are and explore ways of moving forward. During sessions, I will create a safe space for you to reflect, build on your strengths and enhance skills for nurturing your own wellbeing. This will be done collaboratively, compassionately and at a pace you feel comfortable with.
If you'd like to arrange an initial consultation, please do get in touch. I am able to offer virtual appointments or in person sessions at a therapy clinic located next to picturesque Hengistbury Head (The Coastal Practice, 98 Broadway, Southbourne, BH6 4EH).
