About me
Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or exhausted from trying to hold everything together?
Perhaps your navigating ADHD or other neurodivergent traits and feeling misunderstood, burnt out, or constantly 'too much' or 'not enough'.
Maybe anxiety is running the show, or past experiences are still shaping how safe you feel in the world.
whatever brings you here, you don't have to work it out alone.
I offer a calm, compassionate space where you can slow things down and begin to make sense of what's happening beneath the surface. My approach is warm, relational and neuro-affirming. I work with both adults and young people who maybe struggling with anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, emotional overwhelm, or the impact of being wired differently in a world that isn't always built for them.
Many of the people I work with:
- Feeling constantly on edge or stuck in worry
- Experience emotional intensity that feels hard to regulate
- Struggle with focus, motivation or burnout linked to ADHD
- Feel different, misunderstood or masking parts of themselves
- Carry unresolved grief or past trauma
In our work together, we gently explore what's been shaping your experiences and build a greater self-understanding, self-compassion and practical ways to cope. Therapy isn't about fixing you - it's about understanding you.
I offer sessions in person and online, and I'm happy to arrange a brief introductory call so we can see whether we feel like a good fit before you commit.
If you are unsure whether therapy is right for you, that's completely okay - reaching out can simply be the first small step.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of counselling I deal with
Other areas of counselling I deal with
These areas are not exclusive to how I can support you.
You may feel like that swan, looking like you have it all together, but under the surface, desperately trying to keep afloat. This overwhelm can feel all-consuming, affecting other areas of your life.
A trauma or bereavement may have taken you off your feet, and a non-judgemental space would enable you to explore all of your feelings.
Relationships can be complex, family, marriage, friendships, and a space to understand these difficulties can aid healing.

Further information
Previous roles have included working with young people who are finding life difficult, especially in school, and are at risk of exclusion or permanent exclusion.
This enabled me to support those struggling with their behaviour and to understand and unpick the factors which lay beneath influencing and impacting on daily life.
Complex family background, vulnerabilities, and inability to fit the system all play a part.
The key was to see the person and not the behaviour.
