About me
My name is Jenny Clarke, I'm an integrative counsellor with my own independent counselling practice called Moving Forward with Jenny.
I'm a nurturing kind of person who has a strong desire to care and support children, young adults and adults. I take a gentle approach to my counselling work, helping my clients to understand themselves, recover and thrive. Having travelled extensively, lived, and worked in the UK, Asia Pacific and the USA, I am culturally astute and have spent my entire career working alongside people.
I began training in Montessori and later trained and worked for many years as a Teaching Assistant, I was responsible for the inclusion of special needs children within mainstream education. More recently, I have become involved with counselling for the last five years and having undertaken classroom learning with CPCAB and practical training with counselling agency placement gaining crucial experience, I am now a fully qualified counsellor registered with BACP and NCPS (Two of the largest professional awarding bodies in the UK). Additionally, I perform charity work which means that I have hundreds of hours of telephone listening experience and talking to people at their lowest point in their lives.
With counselling, I focus on creating a safe space to ensure you feel calm, supported, and held as you explore yourself and find ways of moving forward.
When you are ready you can contact me a number of ways either by phone (07709 182 892) leave a message/ text or you can visit my website www.movingforwardwithjenny.com and go on the contact page to fill out a form. As soon as I receive your message I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Lego Therapy
Lego Therapy is about connecting children with other children to support their interactions with each other through Lego play. It can take place in the classroom or onsite at a counselling agency. Lego as a therapeutic intervention has been around some time and using this idea for developing an intervention involving construction toys is fun for children and a powerful method to help them gain social skills that they will need for adult life. Skills such as turn taking, sharing, listening, teamwork and problem solving. Sessions are carried out in one hour blocks or group sessions are available.
The Initial Consultation
I offer a free half an hour consultation; this will take place online or by phone. This is an opportunity for the client and myself to meet to talk about the reasons for coming to counselling and to share information. It's important for you to be reassured we are the right fit for each other. Should you be happy with the initial consultation we can set up the a date for the first counselling session.
