About me

We can all experience difficult times in our lives, during these times it helps to talk. Taking the first steps is often all it takes.... Let me help you on your journey.

Hello and welcome to my page.

I am Jen and I am passionate about counselling, its effectiveness and the transformative nature it can have on our lives. I am a warm and friendly qualified Humanistic Integrative counsellor, registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).

About counselling....

As a Humanistic counsellor I believe that you are the expert on yourself and have the ability to grow and heal and reach your full potential. I believe by looking inward and tuning in to your thoughts, feelings and behaviours and offering yourself compassion, you have the ability to work through any issues that may be holding you back and discover your inner strength and resilience. I believe you hold the answers to your difficulties and we will explore them together

How we will work together....

Establishing a therapeutic relationship built on trust and respect is essential in our work together. Therefore, it is important that you feel comfortable and relaxed with me. I will offer you a gentle, safe, confidential, non-judgmental space to explore and work through the issues that bring you to counselling at this time to gain greater self-awareness and autonomy. I will listen empathically whist always being thoughtful, mindful and respectful of you. I will attune to you and gain understanding of you from your own perspective and life experience, whilst trusting your individual thoughts and processes. I will be alongside you as you lead the sessions at your own pace. As an Integrative counsellor I will offer a sound framework of blended theories to work with you at rediscovering yourself.

Our sessions....

I am offering zoom and telephone sessions, therefore I can work with any location within the United Kingdom. If you are inexperienced with zoom I can offer you instructions on how to download and join our zoom session. If we work together on the telephone I will call you.

Having a quiet, comfortable, confidential space for your counselling is important and we can discuss this at our initial session. We will plan to work together weekly or fortnightly at a mutually convenient time and day. I offer short term (6-12 weeks) and longer term therapy.

With the Government restrictions easing I am returning to face-to-face sessions from May 17th 2021.

My private practice is situated in an elevated position directly above the beach offering a therapeutic experience of nature at its best. My light airy counselling setting provides a comfortable, confidential environment for whatever you choose to explore, with the gentle, relaxing sounds of the waves lapping the shore in the background.

Next steps....

Please feel free to call, text, WhatsApp or email me to arrange an initial free session to discuss what you are hoping to achieve from counselling. Then if you would like to, we will arrange further sessions.
