About me

Reaching out for therapy can feel like daunting, particularly if you've been carrying difficult experiences for a long time. My aim is to provide a warm, compassionate and collaborative space where you feel genuinely heard, understood and supported.

I'm an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) with over 15 years' experience working across the NHS, private healthcare and independent practice. Alongside CBT, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy recommended for trauma and PTSD. I also draw upon Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), allowing therapy to be tailored to your individual needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

I work with a range of emotional difficulties including anxiety, depression, panic, low self-esteem and stress and have a particular interest in supporting adults who have experienced trauma. Trauma can affect far more than memories alone it can influence how safe you feel, how you relate to others, and how you see yourself. Whether your experiences relate to a single traumatic event or more complex, long-standing difficulties, therapy can help you process what has happened and move forward without feeling defined by the past.

My approach is compassionate, practical and evidence-based. I believe therapy should feel like a collaborative process where we work together to understand what is keeping you stuck, build on your existing strengths and develop lasting change. Sessions are always adapted to your pace, and with EMDR there is never any expectation that you have to describe traumatic experiences in detail if you don't want to.

Before working independently, I spent several years as a CBT Therapist within NHS Talking Therapies and specialist NHS services, as well as working within The Priory. These experiences have allowed me to support people with a wide variety of presentations, whilst maintaining a strong grounding in evidence-based practice.

I offer therapy online across the UK, alongside face-to-face appointments in Sutton Coldfield. I look forward to hearing from you.
