Counsellor PG.Dip Arts Couns MCGI MBACP

About me

With lived experience of neurodiversity, I offer a compassionate and thoughtful space for clients who may be feeling overwhelmed, emotionally dysregulated, chronically stressed, or affected by traumatic life events. I also have experience supporting people living with co-occurring and long-term health conditions, and I understand how complex and exhausting it can feel when many challenges overlap.

My intention is to work alongside you with curiosity, care, and respect for your unique way of being, allowing your true potential to unfold. Together, we can begin to make sense of your experiences, explore what feels difficult, and find ways of working that help you feel more grounded, more understood, and more connected to yourself.

I am particularly interested in helping clients nurture autonomy, build confidence, and develop a stronger sense of identity. My way of working includes creative forms of communication and embodied self-reflection, which can be especially helpful when thoughts feel tangled or when words are hard to find. Alongside this, I offer practical skills grounded in neuroscience to support emotional regulation, psychological safety, and a greater sense of steadiness and control in everyday life.

I support the following Conditions:

  • Anxiety disorders and GAD
  • Depression and Mood Disorders
  • ADHD, Autism, and other neurodevelopmental conditions
  • BDD-Body Dysmorphic Disorder
  • PMDD-Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder
  • Menopause Related Conditions
  • Life Transitions
  • PTSD-Trauma recovery & Stress management
  • Eating Disorders
  • BDD-Body Dysmorphic Disorder

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified and insured counsellor with experience supporting adults, young people, and families. I work integratively, drawing on a range of therapeutic perspectives so that therapy can be shaped around you, your needs, and the way you experience the world.

Alongside talking therapy, I work in a relational, reflective, and somatic way, supporting you to make sense of your thoughts, feelings, and recurring patterns of experience. My aim is to help you develop greater self-awareness, emotional understanding, and a steadier connection to yourself.

I have particular experience working with anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, emotional overwhelm, ADHD, autism, and relationship difficulties. I also have experience adapting therapy for neurodivergent clients and for those who may find more traditional therapeutic approaches less helpful. Where appropriate, I can also work collaboratively alongside other professionals involved in your care.

At the heart of my work is a collaborative relationship built on compassion, curiosity, and trust. I offer a safe and reflective space where you can feel understood, and where we can work together at your pace to support healing, self-awareness, and meaningful change.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
