About me

Hello, I'm Jayne, a Psychotherapist and Hypnotherapist based on the Wirral.

I offer a calm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can slow things down, talk things through and feel genuinely heard. Therapy can be a place to feel less alone with what you’re carrying, and to begin making sense of thoughts and feelings that may feel overwhelming or confusing.

I work with children, young people and adults who may be struggling with anxiety, low confidence, stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, loss, or a sense of feeling stuck and unsure how to move forward.

Young people often come to therapy feeling the pressure of school, friendships, emotions or identity, while adults may be managing the weight of responsibility, life transitions, relationships or emotional overwhelm.

How I work
My approach is primarily person-centred, which means I believe you are the expert in your own life.  I provide a space for acceptance, respect and care, and we go at a pace that feels right for you. I also draw on integrative, CBT-informed, psychodynamic and trauma-informed approaches where helpful, depending on what you need in the moment.

Together, we can gently explore patterns, experiences and feelings that may feel difficult to carry on your own, helping you build more clarity, self-understanding and steadiness.

At the heart of my work is the belief that change often begins with feeling truly understood, and that a kinder relationship with yourself can open up new ways forward.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have over 10 years’ experience working with children, young people and adults across a range of settings, including schools and voluntary sector organisations. This has included supporting children, young people and families in school environments, as well as volunteering with suicide prevention and school-based charities.

I hold a Diploma in Psychotherapy and have continued to develop my training in areas including trauma-informed practice and integrative therapeutic approaches. My background has given me a strong understanding of the challenges people face across different stages of life, and the importance of providing accessible, supportive and non-judgemental care.

Additional information

My fee is £55 per session, and I do offer a limited number of concessionary spaces, as I believe therapy should be accessible to those who need it.

Sessions usually last around 50 minutes and are typically held weekly, although this can be adapted depending on your needs and what feels most supportive for you.

I aim to offer a steady, consistent space where you can speak freely without pressure. Some people arrive with something specific they want to focus on, while others use the space more gently to explore what’s been feeling difficult or unclear.

You don’t need to have everything worked out before starting therapy, we can take things at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
