About me
I am an Integrative Psychotherapist offering counselling and psychotherapy for adults, young people over the age of 18 and couples on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period with the aim of helping you to enhance your life and live it more fully.
I have a private practice with a therapy room based at my home in a private location with off road parking and close to local bus routes.

I also attend regular CPD courses.
I am an individual member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and as such am bound by their Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions 2018
I have worked in private practice for 10 years and also worked within a large and well respected voluntary counselling organisation in Leicester for 3 years. I have worked as a school counsellor and also have considerable experience of working with couples, having done additional training in this area and working using an integrative approach to couples’ therapy.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Additional information
I charge £60 per session for individuals and sessions last for 50 minutes and for couples I charge £75 with sessions lasting for 60 minutes.
I offer initial 15 minute telephone contact free of charge and also an initial short meeting at a charge of £25. This gives a low cost option of being able to decide whether you feel comfortable working with me as well as enabling me to assess whether I am the best person to help you.
I require at least 48 hours notice for cancellations.
