About me

A huge warm welcome and Thank you for visiting My counselling profile.

Are you someone who wants to get to know yourself better and why you feel the way that you do? Do you struggle with feelings of anxiety, feeling low or like you want more from life but are not sure where to start? Maybe you want to address the things that you have gone through and how that has shaped you into the person you have become? Then look no further. I would love to help you. I can help you on this journey and help you discover the hidden parts of yourself as well as be apart of the transition into you feeling more in control of your life, your experiences and your future.

Throughout life we all go through a lot of change, and life has its high moments as well as its low moments. I believe is it so important for you to be in the drivers seat of that change, work through the parts of your life that are holding you back and create and pave a future that leads you in a direction that you are happier with; leaving you feeling more fulfilled.

You might ask what makes my service different from the rest and the simple answer would be that my only vision is purely to empower you and improve your mental well-being and your feelings about your future.  I genuinely and wholeheartedly care about how you feel and I believe in your success story.

As a counsellor I am able to connect well with all types of people easily and am able to make people feel comfortable when they may previous have struggled with this. I understand that although the spoken aspects of therapy are important, I am also able to see, understand and feel what else might be going on for you through your body language and all aspects of unspoken communication, helping  you feel understood, seen, heard and accepted as your whole self .

All of your feelings and experiences are welcomes with me and I would really like to be apart of your journey into feeling better within yourself and your future.

I don’t believe that one box and one fixed approach fits everyone so I have a pluralistic approach which is just a fancy word for; I tailor our service to suit you and your needs, in a person-centred way. This is to ensure that you get the very best support that is the right approach and the right fit for what you are going through; helping you to create more successful outcomes.

I also offer a more open ended service which means our sessions together come to a natural end rather than a forced end. This gives you the freedom to have as many sessions as you feel would be appropriate. This might be 6, 12 or more if it felt like that was the right approach for you.

There is no obligation for you work with me if it does not feel like the right fit for you. I understand that one of the most important keys to therapeutic success is finding the right connection to your counsellor.

It is a great privilege that people trust me with the vulnerable parts of themselves and allow me to be a part of their journey.

Do not hesitate to get in touch, I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
