About me
Reaching out can be difficult, especially when scrolling through a list of prospective unknowns. It takes courage to pick up the phone to make that initial contact. I want you to know that I will be the friendly voice on the other end of that call.
I have years of experience with people from all walks of life. My time as a teacher has equipped me with the skills to get to know individuals and putting them at ease, so please be assured, we can spend time exploring what you want from our sessions together and whether I'm the right therapist for you.
My aim is to address your needs and goals by working with CBT tools and psycho-education to support your needs. This will provide you with healthier coping strategies which you can apply to every day situations to support what might be holding you back or preventing you from reaching your full potential. My belief is that by using these tools in session, you can create your own bespoke toolbox and continue to use them long after therapy has ended.
I work with a compassion focus and welcome trauma related issues. Problems can feel more manageable when we say them out loud. Please call for a chat and lets see what we can achieve together.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have COSCA skills in counselling and a Diploma in CBT at Centre of Therapy.
I worked with Rape Crisis Glasgow and most recently have completed training in Understanding Autism.
I am a trained teacher and love to work with young people.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
