About me

In a world of ever-changing movement, life can be challenging. It can be difficult to understand and navigate feelings when another voice within you is stronger than the one of your true, authentic self. In a world where everyone strives to be their true authentic self but shows up as someone different, it can be challenging to present yourself in the right ways. It could be that you are feeling lonely, misunderstood, and unable to navigate through your difficulties, that you seek professional help. Therapy can offer a space for you to explore your feelings, to allow you the permission to be your true authentic self, to allow you to process and to be a stepping stone to build a new version of yourself, the best version of yourself.

I am an experienced counsellor that has provided a safe and confidential space to clients where I have allowed clients to be seen and be heard. I have also allowed clients to share their own experiences and issues. I have an understanding of cultural issues that can arise such as independence issues, anxiety, and depression, as I grew up in a South Asian household. I have worked with people from many lifestyles, ages, races and religions. I have also have experience in working as an Addictions Counsellor.

I am an Integrative Counsellor which means I draw upon Psychotherapeutic approaches and tailor to meet your specific needs. I mainly use the approaches of Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Transactional Analysis and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

I have worked in Research for 10+ years and believe that Research informed therapy can provide for a richer and fruitful experience for my clients. Please feel free to contact me about any questions you may have. I offer a free 20-minute consultation with assessment.

I provide counselling in English and know some basic Gujarati.
