About me

I am a compassionate and reflective Integrative Counsellor with a strong foundation in nursing, mental health, and academic leadership. I have over 10 years of experience supporting individuals through psychological distress, life transitions, trauma, and complex emotional challenges. My approach integrates person-centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and coaching modalities, underpinned by Mindfull, compassion focussed and neurodiversity-aware practice.

I am dedicated to empowering clients through collaborative therapeutic relationships, I work across private practice, digital counselling platforms, and voluntary services. Skilled in risk assessment, safeguarding, and mental health support, I combine clinical expertise with a deep commitment to client wellbeing and professional ethics.

I have additional experience in employee relations at and helping people through work related difficulties.

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Further information

When you work with me, you’ll have a gentle, supportive space where you can talk openly and feel truly heard. Through my experience, I’ve learned that people often have more inner strength and wisdom than they realise, counselling can help you reconnect with that and feel more grounded.

You don’t need to come with clear goals or a sense of what therapy “should” look like. Many people arrive simply wanting to feel less overwhelmed or more like themselves again. Together, we’ll take our time to understand what feels right for you and shape the work around your needs.

You can expect warmth, compassion, and no judgement. I’ll listen carefully, get to know what matters to you, and support you as you gently move from feeling stuck toward more clarity and confidence.

Our sessions will be collaborative and steady, giving you space to reflect, explore options, and take small, meaningful steps toward the changes you’re hoping for.
