About me

Hello and welcome. Thank you for taking the time to look through my profile. I am passionate about supporting people to work through any problems they might have. I use mainly person centered therapy to help them do so, however I recognize that every person is unique and so I may at times include different exercises or approaches in order to meet the needs of my clients.

Therapy is offered in a friendly, safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment which allows everyone to say what they need or wish to say about what is bothering them or what is going on in their life and be listened to without being judged or offered an opinion. This empowers them to be able to work through their problems or worries and become stronger so they are better able to face what they are going through, become clearer and more purposeful and find their own solutions.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

My first session

Initial Consultation | Free of charge

It is important to find the right counsellor for you, someone you can feel comfortable with. That’s why I offer all of my clients a free, 20 minute no-obligation initial consultation. At our initial consultation, we will have the opportunity to talk about your concerns and your thoughts that may have led you to seek counselling.

It is important to build trust and rapport within a therapeutic relationship so that you gain what you need from therapy, which is why it is so important to see if we feel we can work together. If you decide to go ahead we can book the first session and get started.
