About me

I provide a safe space that is solely for you, to be heard and validated. A space to reflect and explore whatever you wish to bring to the sessions. Therapy can help you discover personal blind spots and gain a deeper understanding of feelings such as fear, shame, guilt, low self-esteem and sadness. My main goal is to ensure you feel supported, heard and valued throughout our time together.

If you feel I could be the right therapist for you, please do not hesitate to contact me via email or telephone. I offer a free 15-minute telephone call. The focus of this call will be to explore if I am the right therapist for you, what has brought you to therapy and what you would hope to achieve during our time together.

A quote I often reflect on - 'Let everything happen to you, beauty and terror, just keep going, no feeling is final' -Rainer Maria Rilke. What are your thoughts when you read this quote?

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Client Testimonials

'When first thinking about therapy I was unsure of what to expect. After working with Hannah for the last three months, I would recommend therapy to everyone. Finding a therapist you connect with is vital. Working with Hannah I have been able to discuss aspects of my life I have never told to anyone. I have experienced a wide range of emotions during this time, anxiety being at the forefront. I have felt valued throughout the whole process. Hannah has challenged me and supported an increase in my self-awareness and self-compassion. This experience has brought me more than I expected and I am thankful for what I have gained'

'I was recently diagnosed with ADHD, I was confused where to start as I've never had therapy before. Hannah made me feel at ease, I actually felt heard not just listened to'

'I was lost but this was a safe and regular place, Hannah was there to support me. She respected my views and helped me into my own insights, understanding of me and my depression. This was a non-judgemental environment, I slowly started to piece together my life that I had lost. I could feel the strength and confidence grow from within me. Yes, I have had setbacks but I am aware of them now and learnt to implement boundaries for my own wellbeing. I will always be thankful for the counselling I received with Hannah, we connected, we worked together to help find me again. I will always be truly grateful to Hannah personally she kept me alive'
