About me

Hi I'm Hala, first I'd just like to say that taking the first step to seek support is both courageous and important and I commend you for making this choice; as I know it's not an easy one. Please be rest assured that whatever is worrying you and has prompted you to take this step, I am here to help. I believe in making support accessible for all, so if there is anything in particular you're concerned about as you begin this journey, please feel free to reach out and we can discuss it and I hope to put your mind at ease and give you the reassurance to move forward.

As a Person-Centred therapist, I believe that individuals have the capacity to grow and develop, by working through and addressing what you are struggling with head on with the right support to help facilitate the process. I will work collaboratively with you to identify what struggle(s) has brought you to counselling, by providing you with a comfortable, safe environment for you to express yourself and know that I’ll be there to listen.

Through this journey, we will work to regain your strength and peace of mind and empower you to make informed decisions about your own life and strive towards positive change.

My approach is centred around Empathy, Genuineness and Unconditional Positive Regard, creating a non-judgmental space for you to explore your inner thoughts, feelings and experiences.

If you’d like to schedule a free 15 minute phone consultation to see if we would work well together on your journey, please send me an email to book this in. I look forward to hearing from you!

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
