About me
I like to help people to become unstuck and move forwards with their lives. Although I specialise in working with individuals who are having difficulties with anxiety and/or low mood, I have extensive experience working with all presentations.
With over 2500 hours of therapy (extensive experience working with both females and males), I have found that there is usually always another way to live. If you're feeling stuck, low, anxious, highly stressed, overwhelmed, angry, regretful, let's talk about these difficulties and work towards change in order for you to live a more free and enjoyable life.
My style is informal, and often described as 'real', which can be very beneficial for a therapeutic relationship. I'll weave some psychological theory into everyday language for a smoother discussion, and hopefully make the experience more personal and even enjoyable as we figure things out together.
Everybody is different, and has lived with unique circumstances. different experiences and challenges, and so getting to know you and what you need is most important.
Slower pace counselling type therapy can guide us to discuss and come to terms with difficult life experiences, and to process these experiences in order to move forwards.
CBT goes slightly further, as it moves beyond discussion, and towards not just understanding, but also interrupting unhelpful thoughts and behaviours.
This may be to break patterns and habits, reduce the maintenance of anxiety or low mood itself and it’s impact on decisions and daily life, and to achieve movement by making the choice to think, do and live differently.
We'll work on what's most important to you, in order for you to be more of the person that you want to be.
