About me
Welcome! I’m Filipe Madre de Deus
With over a decade of experience in mental health, I’ve been privileged to support individuals through some of life’s most challenging moments. My journey began in the NHS, where I worked with clients with complex mental health diagnoses, first as a support worker and eventually as a qualified Counselling Psychologist. Each role deepened my understanding of mental health while teaching me how much there is still to learn about the fascinating and confusing world in the human mind.
How I Can Help You
I’m deeply passionate about helping people and my approach is relational, compassionate and humanistic to fit your difficulties. I work with:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Self-Esteem
- Trauma
- ASD assessments
Together, and at your pace, we’ll create a safe and supportive space where we can explore your difficulties.
What to Expect
In our therapeutic relationship we will talk about difficulties and struggles affecting your life. I believe that a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship is important when healing. We can co-create a space where you feel seen, heard and understood where this space is centred entirely on you.
Unsure About Starting Therapy?
It’s normal to feel hesitant about reaching out, but you don’t have to decide right away. I offer a free consultation, either by phone or online, so you can ask any questions and see if I’m the right fit for you.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
