About me
Welcome! I’m Filipe Madre de Deus
With nearly a decade of experience in mental health, I’ve been privileged to support individuals through some of life’s most challenging moments. My journey began in the NHS, where I worked with clients navigating complex physical health diagnoses, first as a volunteer, then as a support worker, and eventually as a qualified counselling psychologist. Each role deepened my understanding of mental health while teaching me how much there is still to learn about the fascinating, intricate world of the human mind.
How I Can Support You
I’m deeply passionate about helping people live more fulfilling lives. My approach is compassionate, humanistic, and tailored to your unique needs. I specialize in working with:
- Anxiety & Depression
- Cultural & Racial Identity Challenges
- Self-Esteem Issues
- Trauma Recovery
- Autism, ADHD & Learning Disabilities
- PTSD
- Personality disorders
- Life transitions and Adjustment Issues
- AND many more (see below)
Together, we’ll create a safe and supportive space where you can explore your challenges, build resilience, and discover solutions that truly work for you. Whether your journey is short or long, I’m here to walk alongside you at your pace helping you grow and thrive.
What to Expect
Therapy with me is more than just a conversation; it’s a partnership. Through storytelling, reflection, and even moments of laughter and tears, we’ll explore patterns in your life, nurture your self-awareness, and uncover empowering insights. Using a range of therapeutic techniques, I’ll support you in gaining clarity and achieving meaningful change.
I believe that a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone of healing. My goal is to co-create a space where you feel seen, heard, and understood where your journey is centred entirely on you.
