About me
Starting therapy can feel like a big step - especially if you’re used to managing things on your own. It’s important that you find someone you feel comfortable with.
I offer a warm, thoughtful and non-judgemental space where you can speak openly, feel heard, and begin to make sense of what’s going on.
My way of working is calm, down-to-earth and relational, and I will meet you at a pace that feels right for you.
How I Can Help
You don’t need to have everything worked out before starting therapy. You might come with something specific you want to talk through, or just a sense that things feel difficult, unclear, or hard to carry alone.
Some of the people I work with are used to managing a lot on their own and aren’t used to having a space where they can talk openly without holding everything together.
I often work with people who:
- feel anxious, overwhelmed or stuck in their thoughts
- struggle with self-criticism or low confidence
- find relationships difficult or emotionally draining
- are navigating identity or uncertainty
- are going through life transitions or work-related stress
My Approach
In our work together, we begin to make sense of what’s been going on in a way that feels manageable and meaningful.
This might involve:
- exploring current challenges
- noticing patterns in relationships
- understanding experiences that have shaped how you relate to yourself and others
My practice is informed by an awareness of identity, culture, power and lived experience. I understand that our difficulties do not exist in isolation, and I aim to offer a space where important parts of who you are can be explored without judgement or the need to minimise your experience.
As an integrative counsellor, I draw from a range of approaches including person-centred, psychodynamic, and elements of CBT, alongside existential, systemic, narrative and solution-focused approaches.
This allows me to adapt how I work to suit you, rather than expecting you to fit into a particular approach.
If you’re thinking about starting therapy, I offer a free 15-minute introductory consultation where you can get a feel for how it might be to work together - with no pressure to continue.
You’re welcome to get in touch to arrange a time - I aim to respond within 24 hours and currently have some availability.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have completed a Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, building on a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
My training is rooted in an integrative, relational approach, informed by perspectives including person-centred, psychodynamic, existential, systemic, narrative and solution-focused approaches. I work flexibly and collaboratively, adapting how I work to support each client in a way that feels meaningful and attuned to them.
I have experience working with children, young people and adults across a range of emotional and psychological difficulties. This breadth of experience supports my ability to work with both immediate concerns and the wider relational or life contexts that may be shaping them.
Alongside my private practice, I am currently working with young people within a local authority wellbeing programme, and with women navigating perinatal and menopausal experiences within a specialist charity setting. I also volunteer as a family mentor, supporting families involved with social services.
These roles continue to deepen my experience of working with a range of life stages and relational contexts, and reflect my ongoing commitment to offering thoughtful and accessible support.
I am currently undertaking additional training in couples counselling, which will form part of my practice in future.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I offer online counselling and work with both short-term and longer-term clients, depending on what feels right for you.
I understand how the pressures of work, studies, family life and other responsibilities can leave you feeling overwhelmed, stretched, or disconnected from yourself.
If you’re unsure whether counselling is right for you, we can begin with a short conversation to explore how it might feel to work together.
You don’t need to be certain — just taking a first step can be enough.
