About me

Hi I’m Estelle, thank you for taking a look at my profile.
Starting counselling can feel like a daunting experience, but you have already made the first move by searching for a counsellor.  My approach is flexible to suit your needs, as we are all individuals with unique qualities.  Within our sessions I will draw on a range of models from my training and experience.  This helps in understanding any worries or thoughts you are experiencing, how they are impacting your life and to move forward.

I am passionate about counselling and truly believe in the unique connection that person-centred counselling offers.  The open non-judgemental space I offer provides you with a safe, confidential and calm space for you to talk and where you will be heard.  I am here to listen and to help you explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences; whether past or present to help you to get where you want to be.  As a counsellor, I am not here to judge you, or force you to take a particular course of action.  Instead, a counsellor’s role is one that enables you to develop a better understanding of yourself, so you can make positive choices not just now but in future situations.   All of our sessions will be dealt with in a confidential way.

I have experience working with children.  I believe counselling is paramount to children, allowing them to explore friendships/exams/peer pressure/social media/stress/depression/self-harm/low mood. To explore that behind every behaviour is an emotion.  I am able to help them recognise and acknowledge these emotions, then we will work through them together.  This allows children to develop skills to deal with similar situations, if they were to come across them again.  I am passionate in making counselling a positive experience, so if they feel that they would like to access counselling in adulthood they can reflect back on their experience they had when they were younger.

I love seeing my clients becoming more aware, confident, having healed and being able to move forward with self-acceptance for a better future.

I am a fully qualified Person-Centred and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist.  I am accredited with the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society and adhere to their ethical framework and follow their guidelines of good practice.  I hold indemnity insurance, an enhanced DBS and registered with the Information Commissioners Office.
