Hello, my name is Eppy and I am an integrative therapist based in London. I offer sessions in English and French.
How I work
I work in a warm, open and accepting way to support my clients in turning towards themselves. Drawing on different therapeutic approaches to meet you wherever you are, I focus on attuning to your experience and on offering a safe holding therapeutic relationship in which you can be deeply heard and seen, and begin to explore the issues you are bringing to therapy.
I work intuitively and gently to support you to gain a deeper understanding and awareness of yourself. I will be led by you in our sessions, going with what you feel would be most valuable to explore and at a pace that feels comfortable to you. I believe that we each hold within ourselves vast potential for awareness, insight and growth. My role is not to tell you what I think you should do, but to support you in reorienting towards your own answers and inner wisdom that will lead to healing and change.
Overwhelming experiences and a lack of support and acceptance can sometimes lead us to judge or push away parts of ourselves. In our work together I will support you to welcome and integrate all the different parts of yourself and your experience, and to connect with yourself more fully.
Beginning therapy can feel daunting, and finding someone that you have a good connection with is very important. I offer a free 30 minute chat (via telephone or Zoom) to get a sense of whether you feel comfortable working together. We can discuss what brings you to therapy, what you would like to get out of our sessions, my way of working, practicalities such as cost and location, as well as any other concerns or questions you may have. If you then decide that you would like to work with me we can book in our first session.
Training, qualifications & experience
My training was in Integrative Counselling and focused around three core modalities: Person-Centred, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis.
I have also trained in Internal Family Systems therapy, a powerful therapeutic model that works with different parts of the self, encouraging internal communication and integration that facilitates healing and wholeness.
I work with individuals, offering both short-term and open ended therapy. I have experience of working with attachment and relationship issues, trauma, depression, anxiety, work-related stress, low self-esteem, meaning and purpose and body image. I offer sessions in English or French.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
