About me
Have you been through something you are trying to come to terms with? Is your relationship facing challenges? Are you feeling anxiety, confusion, stress, panic or sadness? Experienced trauma as an adult or child? I offer a safe space to process it. The power of having someone really listen to you and try to understand you with out judgement or agenda is immense.
I have many years of experience and I am certified and experienced in working with clients over the telephone and online.
I am also a trained and experienced couples counsellor, providing a neutral space to work on communication and barriers within the relationship.
Clients have found that I have helped them make sense of things and process memories that they had previously thought was not possible.
Particularly experienced in working with trauma such as childhood abuse, sexual and domestic violence; I listen, understand, and help you to make sense of things. I have also frequently worked with: relationship issues; issues arising from life-threatening illness and loss; family breakdown; and with anxiety, depression and stress.
I am a very experienced Person-Centred counsellor with learning in other counselling modalities too. I tailor my approach to fit your needs and goals, for example I can use Inner Child work with issues from childhood, or a Solution Focused approach with workplace issues.
My dedicated therapeutic environment provides a welcoming, calm environment and I try to be flexible to client needs. My understanding, non-judgemental approach supports clients to work through difficult issues and move forwards.
I can work in a long-term or brief therapy format.
I am happy to have a chat about your particular issue and needs to see if I can help.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
