About me

Have you been through something you are trying to come to terms with? Are you feeling stress, panic or sadness? Experienced trauma as an adult or child? I offer a safe space to process it. The power of having someone really listen to you and try to understand you with out judgement or agenda is immense.

I have experience working with health anxiety and I am certified and experienced in working with clients over the telephone and online.

Clients have found that I have helped them make sense of things and process memories that they had previously thought was not possible.

Particularly experienced in working with childhood abuse, sexual and domestic violence; I listen, understand, and help you to make sense of things. I have also frequently worked with issues arising from life-threatening illness and loss; family breakdown; and with anxiety, depression and stress.

I am a very experienced Person-Centred counsellor with learning in other counselling modalities too. I tailor my approach to fit your needs and goals, for example I can use Inner Child work with issues from childhood, or a Solution Focused approach with workplace issues.

My dedicated therapeutic environment provides a welcoming, calm environment and I try to be flexible to client needs. My understanding, non-judgemental approach supports clients to work through difficult issues and move forwards.

I can work in a long-term or brief therapy format.

I am happy to have a chat about your particular issue and needs to see if I can help.

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
