Hi I am Emma!
Thank you for clicking on me and viewing my profile, now I have the chance to explain what I offer.
Every client I have the pleasure to work with, I value. I am originally trained in a Humanistic modality in which I believe that for you, my client, it is my job to help you as much as I can, I invite you to bring whatever issues you want to, there is no direction to make you explore what you do not wish to.
Whatever your problem large or small, it's yours so it's a big deal. I offer integrated counselling to support for whatever your needs and I also offer Emdr (Eye movement desensetising and reprocessing) which is an excellent proven intervention for trauma, anxiety, depression, self worth, self esteem and the management of any secondary mental health issues.
I am originally from London and have also lived abroad before settling in Chichester. During the time I spent abroad, I was able to understand the diversity and uniqueness of different cultures, religions and backgrounds. I came to back to the UK where I fulfilled my dream to pursue a career in counselling, it was something I always wanted to do.
My personality traits are that of being adaptable, friendly caring and kind. I bring out the best in people and hope to work with you.
My work ethics are strong I believe that being as you are a unique individual with your own experiences I tend to employ the integration of different models of therapy, so it is rather like its tailor made to suit your needs and most effective for the difficulties you may be facing.
I have experience in working within the NHS. I work with a number of difficulties such as Anxiety and Stress, Depression, Relationship issues, Abuse and Cancer care I have also worked for and supported Charity run organisations for the elderly and disabled. I work with a number of difficulties such as anxiety and Stress, Depression, Relationship issues, Abuse and bereavement are just some examples.
At present Anxiety in all ages is increasing, I work with this issue mainly by using EMDR in which is by far the most effective therapy and fix for such a deliberating issue.
I also have experience in working with secondary mental health diagnoses, such as Psychosis, severe and chronic depression and suicidal thoughts, Bipolar 1 and 2 , Anorexia Nervousia, Borderline personality disorder, Schizophrenia and addiction.
I also work with ages 11-18 years and have a valid DBS certificate.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
