About me

Hi I am Emma!

Thank you for clicking on me and viewing my profile, now I have the chance to explain what I offer.

Every client I have the pleasure to work with, I value. I am originally trained in a Humanistic modality in which I believe that for you, my client, it is my job to help you as much as I can, I invite you to bring whatever issues you want to, there is no direction to make you explore what you do not wish to.

Whatever your problem large or small, it's yours so it's a big deal. I offer integrated counselling to support for whatever your needs and I also offer Emdr (Eye movement desensetising and reprocessing) which is an excellent proven intervention for trauma, anxiety, depression, self worth, self esteem and the management of any secondary mental health issues.


I am originally from London and have also lived abroad before settling in Chichester. During the time I spent abroad, I was able to understand the diversity and uniqueness of different cultures, religions and backgrounds. I came to back to the UK where I fulfilled my dream to pursue a career in counselling, it was something I always wanted to do.

My personality traits are that of being adaptable, friendly caring and kind. I bring out the best in people and hope to work with you.

My work ethics are strong I believe that being as you are a unique individual with your own experiences I tend to employ the integration of different models of therapy, so it is rather like its tailor made to suit your needs and most effective for the difficulties you may be facing.

I have experience in working within the NHS,and I work with a number of difficulties such as Anxiety and Stress, Depression, Relationship issues, Abuse and Cancer care I have also worked for and supported Charity run organisations for the elderly and disabled. I work with a number of difficulties such as anxiety and Stress, Depression, Relationship issues, Abuse and bereavement are just some examples.

I also have experience in working with secondary mental health diagnoses, such as Psychosis,severe and chronic depression and suicidal thoughts, Bipolar 1 and 2 , Anorexia Nervousia, Borderline personality disorder, Schizophrenia and addiction.


It is my promise to support you and help you through rough times. Just give me a call or email I offer Skype counselling too, which is sometimes easier than travelling to a counsellor.

There is no obligation to continue long term and there are no set amount of sessions, I offer short term counselling as well.

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Fees

I charge £40 per session, £60 for couples and £30 for Skype sessions. Counselling sessions usually lasts for 60 Minutes.

I charge £50 for EMDR sessions ranges from 50 mins to 1.5 hrs
